Micro-arc plasma oxidation (MAPO) is a well-established and reliable mass production technique after many years of development in TSMT. The MAPO, also known as plasma electrolytic oxidation, is an excellent candidate to replace the hard anodic coating, chromium plating, or thermal spray. The composition, chemical structure, microstructure and crystal structure can be modified according to the properties our customers need/require. Our team welcomes any challenge of new products or specifications. The basic procedures of MAPO mass production are as following:
- Degreasing
- Water rinse
- Micro-arc plasma oxidation
- Water rinse
- Oven drying
- Post treatment (optional)
- Mechanical polishing
--dimensional tolerance
--low coefficient of friction
- Painting
--shinning appearance
--corrosion resistance
- Electroless (chemical) nickel plating
--good edge abrasion resistance
--good metallic appearance
--electric conductive surface (anti-static electricity treatment)
- Teflon treatment
--low coefficient of friction
--hydrophobic surface
